"We will stand up and be resilient, and we will be here long after this administration is in the trash heap. " The activist leaders, speaking amid posters reading "#Won'tBeErased", later addressed a protest rally outside the White House.

But Mitch McConnell might have sealed the deal. Facing some of the toughest campaigns of their careers, the West Virginia Democrat and his moderate colleagues believe they've received an unexpected gift from the Senate GOP leader. In a triumphant post-Kavanaugh media tour last week, the Kentucky Republican waxed about his regret over the missed opportunity to repeal Obamacare and the need to reform entitlement programs to rein in the federal deficit. 10/19:Does single-handedly undermining decades old nuclear weapon treaty fall under POTUS job description?

They've been violating it for many years," Trump told reporters before boarding Air Force One to leave Nevada following a campaign rally. "And I don't know why President Obama didn't negotiate or pull out. And we're not going to let them violate a nuclear agreement and go out and do weapons and we're not allowed to," he said. "We're the ones that have stayed in the agreement and we've honored the agreement. "But Russia has not, unfortunately, honored the agreement. The treaty forced both countries to eliminate ground-launched ballistic and cruise missiles with ranges between approximately 300 and 3,400 miles. 10/19: Ships wrecked in 1899 unearthed by Hurricane Michael. 10/19: No more Luke Cage, Netflix... 10/17: Donald Trump Compares Accusations Against Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to Brett Kavanaugh

Speaking to The Associated Press, the president said, “I think we have to find out what happened first. Here we go again with, you know, you’re guilty until proven innocent. I don’t like that. We just went through that with Justice Kavanaugh and he was innocent all the way as far as I’m concerned.” The president’s comments were immediately criticized. 10/17: 70 years after the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, this is why we need dignity more than ever. Seventy years ago, the founders of the United Nations put our understanding of our shared humanity on paper with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

10/17: 70 years after the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, this is why we need dignity more than ever

“Recognition of the inherent dignity ... of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world”, began the Declaration. It affirmed dignity as an antidote to the inequality, intolerance and injustice that had led to two devastating world wars. We face many of the same divisions today. Conflicts over borders, religions, politics, race and gender continue to plague us. Some would say increasingly so. Dignity requires conscious choice and deliberate action. 10/16: Trump Calls Stormy Daniels ‘Horseface.' Stormy spanks him again. The president quoted a Fox News headline reporting that a “‘Federal Judge throws out Stormy Danials [sic] lawsuit versus Trump. Trump is entitled to full legal fees.” And then the president added: “Great, now I can go after Horseface and her 3rd rate lawyer in the Great State of Texas. 10/16: Google will charge European Android device makers a fee for using its apps. Google is changing the way it licenses its suite of Android apps in Europe, leading the company to charge a licensing fee for the Play Store and other Google apps for the first time.

10/16: Google will charge European Android device makers a fee for using its apps

The changes come in response to a July ruling by the European Commission, which fined the company $5 billion for antitrust violations and ordered it to stop “illegally tying” Chrome and search apps to Android. Google hasn’t historically charged for Android and its apps because of the revenue brought in through Chrome and search. But splitting them up changes the equation, so companies will now find themselves paying for things — like the Play Store — that we generally consider to be core parts of Android, but are in reality Google services. The base Android operating system will remain free and open-source, but if phone and tablet manufacturers want Google’s apps and the Play Store, they’ll have to pay a license fee in Europe.

More than 90 percent of the confirmed cases have been in children 18 and younger, with the average age being 4 years old. 10/15: Elizabeth Warren took a DNA test and it might cost Trump $1 million. #LSSC… 10/15: Big data finds post-disaster aid doesn’t go to the people who most need it. Photo: Getty Images No one should plan their schedule around avoiding sexual harassment, but that doesn’t mean many people don’t do exactly that. Whether it’s taking an indirect route to avoid a poorly lit park or opting for a private car instead of risking inappropriate comments or touching on public transportation, vulnerable populations around the world — for the sake of the following examples, women — are constantly maneuvering themselves around their abusers, taking time out of their own pursuits to accommodate the behavior of would-be harassers. But to do so, women must first know where they can and can’t go, information that until recently could only be learned through personal experience or by word of mouth.

Under current Florida law, anyone who has been convicted of a felony loses their right to vote with little to no hope of restoration of their eligibility to vote. Unless one receives a full or conditional pardon, or can successfully appeal to the governor, their voting rights are permanently taken away. Under the current system, the governor hears less than 300 cases to restore eligibility to vote per year. Given the almost 11,000 applications already filed, the last applicant in line today, will have to wait 36 years to even be heard.
