The Chinese Snow Sculpture Festival - a white fairy tale. October 26th, 2014 viktor Each year in the coldest Chinese megapolis Harbin a spectacular event takes place.
This North-Eastern city of the most populous country in the world is known for the tremendous amount of snowfall every winter. The locals, however decided to turn this disadvantage into advantage and so the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival was born. Behind this long name stands the biggest exhibition of such sort in the world. The festival starts on the 5th of January and it lasts for over one month. Ice blocks are taken from the nearby Sonhua River and are manually carved for days until the intricate figures are produced.
It was here that the largest snow figure was ever created (confirmed by Guiness) – with the astounding 250 meters length and 8.5 meter height it was the highlight of the 2007 festival. Velkommen - specieldesign. Proyecto2. Plans - chris newton.

As a hopeless lover of both color and minimalism, I was instantly enamoured with Colour Mania by Victionary — a magnificent collection of stellar unicolor works in nine colors and a rainbow tone, spanning graphic design, illustration, packaging, branding, interior design and more. Each of the book’s ten color-based chapters, separated by peel-off color tabs, features a meticulously curated selection of eye candy in the respective hue — yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, green, brown, achromatic / black-and-white, and rainbow.
