I do have sewing seasons, LOL.) And when I sew.. I sew for hours and days on end where the fabric scrap basket spills over onto the table. No matter how much I keep shoving them back in they erupt like a volcano. So to keep my space clean, I gather them, stuff them into a freezer ziplock bag and then store them in a bin in the closet. Fast forward... frustration sets in b/c of a huge bin of scraps in ziplock bags is taking up space in my fabric closet.

Was organization one of your New Years resolutions this year? Well, today I’m going to share a few ideas for Fabric Storage and Organization to help you achieve your organized resolution even in the craft room or where ever you get your craft on! This is how I store my fabric in my craft room: In my craft room I hung a curtain rod {from Ikea} on the wall and then used curtain rings {you know, the circles with little clips on them} to hang my fabric. Be sure to secure your curtain rod in studs because fabric can be heavy! For smaller pieces of fabric and a couple bolts of fabric, Davis made the white piece from an old book shelf we found for free on the side of the road. yeah, you can’t beat FREE!! Davis used particle board to make additional cubbies in different sizes. Fabric Organizing, Logging & Storage. Organize Needles & Storage Ideas. I know I'm skipping around TOSN's chapters, but after getting feedback, needles seemed to be agreed upon as the next item to focus on. Many of the mamas following along are still inventorying and logging other items we have covered, so I figured needles would be an easy task. My main focus today will be on Machine needles and tomorrow I will focus on hand sewing needles. I will create and make a free printable available for hand needles also tomorrow. Now you have a handful of needles.. now where to store them....hmmm... I personally keep all of mine in a plastic pencil box, I don't really like the system, but it works for me..
