ANGELS, SYMBOLS AND MEANING OF DIFFERENT LEVELS. PaleoBabble » Ezekiel’s Vision, Part 2. In the previous post, I asserted my position that Ezekiel’s vision was not a spacecraft.

PaleoBabble » Ezekiel’s Vision, Part 2

In doing so, I mentioned that I thought it had something to do with astrology/astronomy. I’ll try and unpack that a bit here. We’ll have to start with the visions: Ezekiel 1:4-19 (JPS Tanakh)4 I looked, and lo, a stormy wind came sweeping out of the north-a huge cloud and flashing fire, surrounded by a radiance; and in the center of it, in the center of the fire, a gleam as of amber. In the center of it were also the figures of four creatures.

A couple of observations are important: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. In Ezekiel 10 the throne vision re-appears to Ezekiel:I looked, and on the expanse over the heads of the cherubs, there was something like a sapphire stone; an appearance resembling a throne could be seen over them. There are several additions to chapter 1, which may or may not be different in description: PaleoBabble » Ezekiel’s Vision, Part 2. Cherubim.jpg. The Book of Revelation: III. The Book of Revelation: III. The Things Which Shall Be Hereafter: 4. The Four Beasts

The word translated "Beasts" should be translated "LIVING CREATURES," as in the Revised Version. The word here translated "beast" (Zoon), is not the same as the one translated "beast" (Therion) in chapters eleven, thirteen, and seventeen. The word here used means a "living being" or "creature," while the word used in chapters eleven, thirteen, and seventeen, means a wild, untamed animal. The "Four Living Creatures" are not in the same class with the "Elders," for they have no "thrones" or "crowns" or "harps" or "golden vials. " The first time these "Living Creatures" are mentioned in the Bible is in Gen. 3:24, where they are called "CHERUBIM," but are not described.

Kerubiel. Kerubiel /Also: Cherubiel, Cerubiel/ (The Flames Which Dance Around the Throne of God) is the name of an angel in the apocryphal Book of Enoch.

Kerubiel

He is the principal regent who has reign over the Cherubim since Creation, and one of the most exalted princes of Heaven. Kerubiel is about seven Heavens tall with a body made of burning coals that is covered with thousands of eyes. His face is made of fire, his eyes sparks of light, and his lashes are lightning bolts. Fire spews forth with every word that he speaks and he is covered with wings from head to toe. Thunder, lightning, and earthquakes are his constant companions and the splendor of the Shekinah shines upon him. It was made to all the house round and round...on the wall of the temple. Myth and God's Message in the Heavens The pictures found today in the zodiac were not developed by the Greeks, but were in place perhaps as early as 4000 B.C. predating even the civilizations of Sumeria . These pictures were not merely arranged in haphazard order to aid in the tracking of the star movements, but with the purpose of depicting an epic narrative. Authors like Bullinger and Seiss have suggested that there is a deeper meaning, one that goes beyond even the most illuminated of occult interpretations. Sphinx were often placed at entrances to palaces or temples of antiquity.
