Lace for Days Skirt So, remember how 2 weeks ago I told you I had a new skirt tutorial? I am just now getting around to creating it, so sorry about the wait! I have had the lace for this skirt for about a year now (seriously), and have finally gotten around to making it. This idea has been in my head for a long time and it's nice to see if finally completed!(you can tell how long it took me to do, because my nail polish changes throughout the tutorial) I found this lace at Joanns and fell instantly in love.
Embellish Knit Month: Day 6 A lot of you expressed questions about resizing sweaters. I mentioned briefly how to do that on day one but I didn't go too in depth. So today and tomorrow I'll be redoing sweaters by first showing you how to turn them into cardigans today and then tomorrow showing you how to resizing body and sleeves, nothing else. How to make a draped t-shirt This cowl neck top is quite easy to make. It has only four seams and you can create the pattern yourself. The cowl neck comes from making the neckline of the shirt wider at the front than the back – this extra fabric hangs down creating the drapey neckline. The folds in the sleeves come from extra fabric as well, which is added by angling the shoulder seam upward. You will need: Measuring tape ⅔ yard stretchy fabric (I used a cotton/lycra jersey) Matching thread Sewing machine Chalk (or pencil and large paper to make a pattern) Pins (optional) The first step in making this top is to measure yourself.
MADE: TUTORIAL: the Circle Skirt I used to think that a gathered skirt was the easiest skirt to sew. But I may have changed my tune. A circle skirt is possibly even easier! Tooth Fairy Bags We thought we'd try to make the whole Tooth Fairy ritual a little more fun by making a colorful bag complete with a special tooth-shaped pocket for the baby tooth. The Tooth Fairy can take away the tooth and leave the loot in the bag. This is a really quick project. As requested: DIY J.Crew Tissue Flutter Tank tutorial A while back, I posted about how many great J.Crew tanks and tees there are for us to be inspired by and perhaps copy. It's overwhelming! But luckily, one of you added a special request for the Tissue Flutter Tank, which really helped me narrow down which one I was going to knock off next! Here's the inspiration: So, how to make this lovely thing? I'm seeing wide strips of bias-cut lightweight knit with little tiny pleats that make them look like ruffles, cascading down the left front of the tank.

Here I’ve replicated the process for you in 7 steps on an extension. While I never recommend bleaching out the ends of your hair at home, if you want to do the fun colors yourself, maybe get the tips bleached out by a pro + then play with the temporary colors on your own. The best things about this color– you’re able to hide it in a bun for work if you need to, AND you’re only doing a couple of inches on the bottom so it won’t kill you to cut it off if you get over it quickly.
A tablecloth reborn This shirt began life as a beautiful linen tablecloth belonging to my mother’s stepmother’s mother (my step-great-grandmother?). After many years the stains and tears were too large and numerous to be covered with a strategically placed platter, but it was too special to just throw out. So it became this top. why would you pearl this but then deny permission to enter the blog. It seems a little self destructive if your trying to expose your blog.
