Cat flea. Photo: dpd.cdc.gov Shot Grady dead Our 100-year old house is cursed, say the neighbors. A previous owner of the house shot and killed his next-door-neighbor from the back porch. Seems his neighbor Martha (who was also his sister) cut through his backyard one-too-many times. Not sure what year that was, but it was a long time ago. Feral black cats mean trouble The flea problem started after we were well into the renovation. Exterminator spraying baseboards Bad move: I called Terminix The contractor told us no one could go in the house, the fleas were so bad. Scary "effects" of the chemicals A week after that, the fleas were back in full force. Fleas return; Terminix says "Too bad" Okay, so a few days later the fleas began showing up again. Just out of curiosity, I called an exterminator with a "nice" sounding name, one the contractor recommended: "Home Team Pest Defense." We kicked the chemicals, went organic That plan worked well. f Diatomaceous earth in bowl Oh yeah - one more!

So maybe the pages from your coloring book aren’t perfect. Sometimes it’s not even what we do, but how we do it that matters the most. very, very best,Sarah D. Friend, It’s cold. You are VALUABLE! Do You Know What Causes Pimples?
Did you know that the location of your blemish can tell you how it got there in the first place? Beautylish got the lowdown on "pimple geography" from Dermalogica Director of Global Education, Annet King. Learn why your zits can give you clues about other issues in your body. The International Dermal Institute created face mapping, a skin analysis system that divides your face into 14 zones that you can individually analyze and treat. "The concept came to us one day as we discussed the fallacy of traditional skin treatment," Annet says. "We always taught classes on Chinese face reading and skin analysis, so it seemed advantageous to combine both schools of thought. What about skin issues on the body? A Day in the Life … — The Picky Eater: A Healthy Food Blog
One of the questions I get asked most is what I eat every day. While my day-to-day meals vary somewhat, the overall picture remains the same: tea, breakfast lunch, snack, dinner, dessert. Here’s a glimpse into what I ate yesterday – a day in the life of The Picky Eater Every morning starts out with a HUGE cup of tea. My two fav teas are English Breakfast and Bombay Chai - this was the English Breakfast tea before I added milk. If I have breakfast early, I’ll have a handful of Kashi Heart to Heart cereal and some nuts as a snack in between breakfast & lunch, but otherwise I’ll just go straight to lunch. Fresh fruit, a couple cheese slices, spicy carrot hummus and whole wheat pita chips, roasted carrots (which were underneath the pita chips), roasted squash with israeli couscous, butternut squash soup with walnuts, and a crostini with white bean puree, arugula and apples. As usual, around 3pm the munchies arrived, so I treated myself to half a Think Thin Mixed Nuts Crunch Bar Like this:
THE BURIED LIFE
Last Wednesday, after they stood in her West Roxbury living room and told Kristen Walsh that her husband, Boston Fire Lieutenant Edward Walsh, had just been killed in the Back Bay, Richie Paris and Ed Kelly wanted to ease her pain. “What can we do for you, Kristen?” asked Kelly, a Boston firefighter and president of the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts. “Anything,” Richie Paris, head of Local 718 of the Boston firefighters, added. Kristen Walsh, having just lost the love of her life, her best friend, the father of their three children, had to think about it. The firefighters in the Boylston Street firehouse vowed to find it. A check of Ed Walsh’s left hand found it wasn’t there. Kelly and Paris suggested a top-to-bottom search of the firehouse, but they found nothing. “All the guys on 33 and 15 said they were sure Eddie had the ring on his finger when he went into that burning building with Mike Kennedy,” Paris said. Chief Magee vowed they would find that ring. “I’ve got it!”
