The Only Way to Get Important Things Done - Tony Schwartz
by Tony Schwartz | 8:00 AM May 24, 2011 “How can I get 7-8 hours of sleep when I’m with my kids from the moment I arrive home, and I need some time for myself before bed?” “How can I find time to exercise when I have to get up early in the morning and I’m exhausted by the time I get home in the evening?” “How can I possibly keep up when I get 200 emails a day?” “When is there time to think reflectively and strategically?”
Make Your Own Marbled Scarf
My mother and I used to marble paper on the weekends when I was younger. To this day, I still feel like I am a mad scientist when I marble, experimenting with new colors and testing new patterns. Even if you don’t have experience with marbling, it’s a fun project to try with friends. It requires about an hour prep time, but once you’re all set up you’ll be able to marble to your heart’s content. You can get great results on your first try, but the more you play with the paint and pattern-making, the better it gets.

Fix car speakers with masking tape
After surfing for a long time and finding only a few folks who somewhat showed how to do it (thank you for the inspiration), I decided to give it a shot myself. Both of my 1988 Fiero front speakers are original... therefore, they have been missing their foam for some time now. I began by removing the speaker and prying off the grill that directly covers the cone. Then cleaned off the old debris using a brass brush, though any brush other than a steel one should be fine.
10 Easy Ways To Preserve Herbs
Enjoying a big bounty of herbs from the garden this year? Fresh is best when it comes to cooking with them, but here are ten easy ways you can preserve them for year-round use (along with a nifty tip at the bottom of the page for crushing them fast). Air/Hang Dry Method: If you have the space and the time, you can tie small bunches together (about 4 or 5 cleaned stems) and hang them upside down in a dark, warm, well ventilated area. The drying time is about 2 to 4 weeks – you want the leaves to be crispy and easily crumble between your fingers before you pack them for storage. If space is tight, here’s a clever project you can make using old frames, fiberglass screens, chain and S hooks (for hanging in tiers): Hanging Frames Tutorial.Oven: Arrange cleaned stems in a single layer on a cookie sheet with temperature set at 180° F.

Freedom Vaults : Guidelines for Saying No to Police Searches
One of the main powers that law enforcement officers carry is the power to intimidate citizens into voluntarily giving up their rights. Police are trained to believe in their authority and trained to perform their interactions with private citizens with confidence. It is their job to deal with problems and they learn to manage uncomfortable situations through strength. Most people, when confronted by police get a mild panic reaction, become anxious, and try to do whatever they can to minimize the time spent with the officer. Because of the imbalance of power between citizen and officer, when a law enforcement officer makes a strongly worded request, most people consent without realizing that they are giving up constitutional protections against improper meddling by the State in the private affairs of citizens. A common situation is that of the traffic stop.
