Strawberry Kiwi Fruit Leather

Strawberry Kiwi Fruit Leather
Maddy has been on a “fruit roll-ups” kick lately. Not the actual name brand kind that I so vividly remember peeling away from a cellophane wrapper when I was a kid. No, Maddy’s been eating the Gerber toddler kind. I don’t feel too bad about her eating them in moderation although if she had her way she would eat the entire box of 5 in one sitting. So the other day while at my in-laws house, my mother-in-law said “I can’t believe you haven’t tried making these from scratch yet.” That’s all it took… Guess what I did the very next day? The other brilliant and wonderful thing about homemade fruit leather is you can make it with hardly any sugar! Just ask Maddy! Enjoy! Strawberry Kiwi Fruit Leather Easy, healthy homemade fruit leather for a guilt-free treat. LaSaGnA TiMpAnO I went to see tUnE-yArDs on Monday night with some friends, and as always we wanted to cook a meal that somehow related to the show we were heading to. Sometimes this is hard to do, but other times it seems to come naturally. Finding culinary inspiration in Merrill's lyrics seemed like it would be tough, but my sister knew what she wanted to make without hesitation.

Homemade Granola Bar Recipe – (No high fructose corn syrup in these bars!) If you’ve done much reading on this blog, you know that I love to cook and eat delicious foods. Unfortunately, they’re not all the healthiest choices. We’re focusing on eating a bit cleaner, so I made a list of healthful snacks we should try to have on hand. On the list was granola bars. Poached eggs You can poach eggs in advance and then reheat them when you need them, making it very easy toserving a larger crowd for brunch. Add vinegar to water in a deep pot (such as a stock pot). Bring the water to a boil and then back to a simmer. You want to see bubbles on the bottom of the pot float up and just break the surface of the water. Crack an egg into a ladle or a small cup/bowl.

Avocado Hummus This avocado hummus is delicious. And I know I say that a lot, but I really rilly like this one. Death By Oreo Cupcakes They are probably the best Oreo cakes I have ever tried. A lot of cake's that I have experimented with before are like a vanilla cake with bits of Oreo in them, which didn't really give them enough Oreo flavor. But these were a lot better. I used a dark chocolate fudge cake mix instead of just a regular chocolate cake mix, which went really well with the cookies and gave the cakes just a little more flavor. So, in this recipe there is Oreo's in the cake, in the frosting, and at the bottom is a Oreo surprise. That's right, you put a whole Oreo at the bottom of the cake.

Baked Zucchini Sticks and Sweet Onion Dip: that bloomin’ zucchini! Today, class, it being late July and all, we’re going to examine our zucchini facts: •Zucchini is always at the end of any A-to-Z food list; •Zucchini and fruitcake are the undeserving targets of many a joke; •The zucchini plant literally grows like a weed, making it absolutely ubiquitous in vegetable gardens across America; •And for that reason, enterprising cooks have discovered ways to turn it into muffins, and cake, and pancakes, and… Baked Zucchini Sticks. You know that onion appetizer that came into bloom back in the late ’80s?
