How I Met Your Style Tell us a little bit about yourself Hmmm…. Well, I was born in Cuba, grew up in Russia and spent the last 15 years of my life in the states. Water Marble Tutorial. Supplies: orange stick or toothpick, shot glass or cup (the smaller the circumference, the less polish you end up wasting), room temp. water, nail polish, tape (optional, but it helps with the clean up) I like to begin by prepping my nails with base coat and one coat of polish. Here I used China Glaze Innocence for a nice neutral base. Steps: 1. because im addicted Pink rainbow cake!
French Fries: The No-Guilt Version There’s nothing like a french fried potato. The taste, the texture, the dip-ability; it’s probably one of my favorite go-to comfort foods. However, I don’t need the fat of an actual deep fried potato, and I certainly do not favor processed french fries that come from the frozen food section of the grocery store. Saucy Glossie Coat: Laundry, Shoes & Bag & Hat: Target, Tights: Hue, Shirtdress: Helmut Lang via TJ Maxx Back in New York.. It’s raining and freezing and there goes all of the fun, springy clothes. I’m really loving how crisp and sophisticated black and white can be and I found this shirtdress which I’m excited to shoot in a separate environment that doesn’t include clouds and dark light.

apple crumble bars recipe do you love apple pie? why am i even asking? of course you love apple pie. what if you could take an apple to eat on the go? Go ahead, take a shot of salad dressing. I got my first taste of this salad dressing when a dear friend brought it over with a meal she had made for my crew right after Nola was born. From the moment the heavenly concoction hit my lips, I wanted to drink it right out of it’s re-purposed glass bottle. Since asking begging her for the recipe, I’ve probably made it weekly. And I make it for everyone I know.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars There is a deli near my house that makes the most amazing chocolate peanut butter bars. I have been trying to come up with a copycat version of them for some time & this recipe is pretty much it. I thought they would be a great dessert to make for the bake sale, as chocolate/peanut butter desserts are very popular & these are super simple & don't require any baking!
Low Fat Chocolate Chip Cookies It's hard to believe these chocolate chip cookies are low fat. By using half the normal amount of butter, and substituting an egg white for a whole egg, these make a wonderful and almost guilt-free indulgence. The chocolate flavor is enhanced by using cocoa powder as well as the chocolate chips. And by using mini chocolate chips, we're making a smaller quantity go a long way. thick, chewy oatmeal raisin cookies I woke up Sunday morning craving oatmeal raisin cookies something fierce, so I tried to make myself eat oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar in it for breakfast but that didn’t work, and so there was nothing left to do but to bake cookies. My life is so hard, innit? I have very specific tastes in oatmeal raisin cookies. A crisp edge is always welcome, but the rest of it must be thick and chewy. Just to confuse, this is unlike other oatmeal cookie recipes on this site, the crunchier chocolate chip pecan version and the thick but shattery, salty white chocolate version. Nope, my oatmeal raisin cookies demand their own texture, and one I can’t get from those other recipes.

Miguel In the nearly 8 years we’ve been together, and the 6 years I’ve been writing this blog, my other half Miguel has kind of stayed behind the scenes. In fact, I was amazed that Chantal from Cocorosa managed to find any pictures of him for her post on Blogger Boyfriends, and a little ashamed that I’d not told you all about how brilliant he is before she got the chance to! So, meet the guy behind some of the snaps here on WishWishWish!
