This module provides access to the mathematical functions defined by the C standard. These functions cannot be used with complex numbers; use the functions of the same name from the cmath module if you require support for complex numbers. The distinction between functions which support complex numbers and those which don’t is made since most users do not want to learn quite as much mathematics as required to understand complex numbers. Receiving an exception instead of a complex result allows earlier detection of the unexpected complex number used as a parameter, so that the programmer can determine how and why it was generated in the first place.
Arduino and Python
For a project (check out my blog for updates) I'm working on I needed to be able to communicate with my arduino, luckily the arduino can communicate though serial. It turns out almost any programming language can be used for serial communication but python seems to be the easiest so far. I had some problems getting it all to work and finding a basic tutorial online proved very difficult.
Why do you want kids to code? – Making things… Learning Things
I made this because I think there is an important distinction between learning to code and coding to learn. I think the focus with students doing coding in schools should be coding to learn. Bill Ferriter’s graphic called what do you want kids to do with technology was the inspiration for my graphic.

Aptana Studio is an IDE - integrated development environment - based on the Eclipse framework. It provides powerful tools for exploring, understanding, and refactoring your code. Because Aptana Studio is Eclipse + a plugin, in class I may refer to “Aptana” and “Eclipse” interchangeably. Unless explicitly noted, both terms refer to the combination of Eclipse framework + Aptana Studio plugin. Aptana’s Python support was formerly a separate Eclipse plugin called PyDev. PyDev was purchased by Aptana and folded into Aptana Studio.
