The University of Edinburgh Supplementary Application Questionnaire (SAQ) Shortly after submitting your UCAS application, you'll be asked via email to complete an online Supplementary Application Questionnaire (SAQ). In order to make a valid application to the University of Cambridge, you must submit your SAQ by the deadline set. In the majority of cases this deadline will be 12.00pm noon (UK time) on 22 October 2016. In addition, some Colleges ask applicants for some courses to submit examples of their written work – one or two school/college essays – which may then be discussed at interview. The course-specific written assessments are designed to supplement the information in your application and provide a gauge of your abilities – to assess skills (such as comprehension and thinking skills) and, where appropriate, levels of current knowledge and understanding relevant to the course applied for.
California Institute of Technology Cambridge Interviews Admissions decisions at the University of Cambridge are based solely on academic criteria - your ability and your potential. Along with all the other information you provide, interviews help Admissions Tutors to assess your application. We invite everyone who has a realistic chance of being offered a place to attend an interview – around 80 per cent of our applicants each year. Not all candidates who are interviewed will be successful/made an offer of a place, but all those who are made an offer will have been interviewed. If English is not your first language, a reasonable standard in spoken English is required at the time of interview, for example an overall IELTS score of 6 for sciences or 6.5 for arts and social sciences would normally be regarded as a reasonable score at the point of application.
