It’s the Diamond Ridges hat and even though the free pattern has a picture tutorial for the first seven rounds–it’s a BEAST to figure out. So, after I finished it, I decided there had to be a simpler way to make the same pattern. After a lot of trial and error, I figured it out. I’m positive I’m not the only one who has tackled this pattern and sort of altered it for the rest of us crocheters to make it simpler but I’ve searched through youtube and could only find ONE video on only the 5th round… That’s it.
I’ve also done a ton of searching through the internet to see if anyone else had ever made a picture tutorial or tried explaining that pattern in a simpler way and nothing. So, I am offering what I’ve figured out for anyone else interested in tackling a hat! Before we go on with the photo tutorial, you can find a FREE pdf copy of this pattern over in my Craftsy Shop!
