This happens without any form of recording/broadcasting taking place. Both audio and video as rendered by Wirecast has random stutter. It plays well for a couple of seconds than it misses a few frames or just stops for a second. CPU load is never higher than 5%. The same videoclips play perfectly on the same machine with Quicktime Player, iTunes and VNC. As a workaround I played all video from iTunes (using a playlist) and captured the video using Desktop Presenter. Below my system setup. I suspect that somehow WireCast is doing something special during video playback that causes the video pipeline to block?
