Så skriver du ett filmmanus. Alla vet vad ett fimmanus är, men knappast alla vet hur viktigt det är.

Det är filmens grundstomme, precis som en byggnadsritning. Hur skulle det gå om alla byggde som de ville och improviserade fram byggnader? Manus måste precis som ritningen vara ett arbetsredskap att utgå ifrån. Men för att alla ska kunna läsa manus har man också enats om ett speciellt språk. En viktig skillnad att känna till är att filmmanuset enbart beskriver en handling, den berättar inte.
