Jessica Brilli’s latest series engages viewers with objects from another era: Kodak cameras, transistor radios, and manual typewriters.
Painting in a style that combines American realism with Appropriation Art, she brings a contemporary eye to technologies from the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s. Before she begins a new work, she scours flea markets and antique shops, looking for everyday objects that excite her imagination. “I’ve experimented with various subjects,” she says, “but I always enjoy evoking the beauty in everyday scenes and objects. " Since childhood, Jessica has been drawing and painting. She earned her BFA in painting at the University of Rhode Island, where she studied with acclaimed artists Robert Dilworth, William Klenk, and Barbara Pagh. Jessica’s paintings have been purchased by numerous private collectors, and several are displayed in the Radcliffe Institute’s Fay House, Cambridge, MA.

Giorgos Rorris - Γιώργος Ρόρρης. Giorgos Rorris was born at Kosmas, Arcadia Kinourias in 1963. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1982 – 1987) under P. Tetsis and Y. Valavanidis. He continued his studies at the National School of Fine Arts (Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts) in Paris (1988 1991) under L. Cremonini with scholarships by the Vassilis & Eliza Goulandris Foundation and the Bakalas Bros.
He cooperated with the “Apopsi” Center of Arts and Letters (1996 – 2002) and he has been teaching painting at the “Simion” Art Group since 2002. In 2001 he was honoured by the Academy of Athens with the prize for “Young Painter less than 40 years of age”. In 2006 he was honoured by the “Alexandros S. With an art career spanning more than three decades, Judith Ann Braun has tested the limits of her artistic musculature. She began as a self-described “realistic figure painter,” and worked through the struggles common to anyone who endeavors upon an artistic pursuit, that of searching for one’s own voice in the chosen medium.
Fast forward to the 21st century where the evolution of Braun’s work has brought us to the Fingerings series, a collection of charcoal dust landscapes and abstracts “painted” using not brushes but her fingertips. Braun has a specific interest in symmetry, as evidenced by the patterns she follows in a number of the Fingerings pieces as well as work in the Symmetrical Procedures collection. Her fingerprints are obvious up close in some of the paintings, though a step back and the grandeur of Braun’s imagination sprawls into a landscape of soft hills, overhanging trees, delicate florals, and a reflective waterway.
