Popsicles!
Not to sound full of myself, but I’m pretty sure this is the be all, end all of popsicle roundups. There’s a little something for everyone: the foodies, the purists, the ones who prefer frozen yogurt, the ones who prefer a little alcohol, everyone. Tweny-five options to be exact. The post I did last summer on the cold guys was one of DC’s most viewed ever, so I thought you’d all be up for another round – was I right?
Ego maniac with sprinkles…
Sorry to those of you who thought I had an actual heart attack on Thursday. I can assure you if I really did have one, at no point would I be posting a post about cookies on the blog. I mean I am dedicated to this blog and all, but that’s a bit much. So unless you see something from my webmaster saying I am down and out and had a heart attack, I am as usual, being sarcastic.
Summer Recipe: No-Bake Strawberry Icebox Cake
See this? This is such an easy dessert. It looks a little fancy, doesn't it? Don't be put off.
Italian Grilled Cheese
Who doesn’t love a good grilled cheese? And, I know it’s totally Ameeeerican to make the classic: American cheese, mayonnaise and bread. But, why not change it a bit and use REALLY fresh and natural ingredients?!?!? Love it! There’s nothing more delicious than fresh and homemade ingredients.

sweet saturday: one minute peanut butter cake
Picture this scene: it’s 8:30 in the evening. The sky is just starting to get dark outside your living room window. You ate a delicious, healthy and veggie-filled dinner a few hours ago and now you are ready to sit down to the most recent episode of So You Think You Can Dance and dive into a decadent plate of dessert. Oh wait, you have no dessert. No chocolate, no cookies, no ice cream, no cake, no pie, not even a Jordan almond.
Chocolate Chip Cookies by Baked
I hope that everyone had a fun Valentine’s Day. I told Kramer that I was going to the gym after work, but instead, I managed to get home before he did and whip up one of our favorite dishes, orange chicken, for the special occasion. It may not be the most romantic meal, but it’s really good and I rarely make it (plus, it’s pretty easy to make after work). We enjoyed a quiet night together after dinner, watched some quality episodes of 30 Rock, and were asleep by 10:30 PM. Oh, the life we lead.
Brownie Covered Oreos
Can it really be December 6th? I LOVE this time of year, but wish it would SLOW down just a little! Mama’s got lots of shopping to do still
Chuckwagon Apple Fritters
I’ve been thinking about the Good Humor truck a lot lately. Like, a lot. This happens to me almost every summer. I get super hot.
Perfect Iced Coffee
Iced coffee is my life. When I wake up, often around the time party animals on the west coast are just heading home, I start each day not with a cup of freshly brewed hot java, but with a tall, blessed glass of creamy iced coffee in a glass. I’ve been an iced coffee freakazoid for years and years. To say I couldn’t live without it is an understatement.
The Infamous Jacques Torres Chocolate Chip Cookies
Now, I have a chocolate chip cookie recipe that I swear by. I love it, I think it is incredible, and I haven’t changed my mind about that. However, as much as it pains me to say it, these chocolate chip cookies by Jacques Torres are absolutely, without a doubt, the best chocolate chip cookies that I have ever made or tasted in my entire life. I guess that’s why they call him Mr. Chocolate! These are a chocolate chip cookie of another color, that’s for sure.
