Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes Recipe
As I mentioned on Friday, I have been doing some experimentation with the beer and chocolate combination. The Guinness-chocolate ice cream that I made totally kicked butt, so I couldn’t wait to see how I liked beer and chocolate in my cake. The answer? I like it, a whole heck of a lot. This was my first time doing Guinness-chocolate cakes, and I was totally optimistic that I would love it, and I was definitely right.
Beautiful/Decay Artist & Design
Gabriel Moreno does beautiful work with such basic materials: a pen and a brush. His illustrations begin in black and white, upon which Moreno builds, adding layers of color and images of other places and people tattooed into their skin. Flowers, birds, and faces organically expand from his subjects, as if a rush of creativity, or a dream, is escaping them.

Hot Chocolate (5 Variations) Recipe
Who doesn’t like Hot Chocolate? There is nothing quite like sitting in front of a fire or heater with the “perfect” Hot Chocolate on a cold day… But like everything chocolate – it depends on your own taste buds as to what you consider “perfect” to be. So today I’m giving you five variants on this old favorite in the hope you will find one to suit your taste buds. Let’s start with the basics with a very simple hot chocolate recipe. 1.
Onion Strings
Please note: This is one of my all-time favorite recipes. Thank you for listening. But lawsy mercy, ladies and gentlemen. I know they don’t look it, but these teeny tiny, thinly-sliced fried onions are so pleasantly flavorful and crisp, and such an utterly perfect accompaniment for so many different main courses, they really need to be placed on some list of Culinary Triumphs of All Time.
The Pastry Affair - Home - Garlic Parmesan Pull-Apart Bread
I once made the driest pancake in the world. I can see you sitting at home, staring at your computer screen, and scoffing at my bold statement. Driest pancake in the world? Yeah, right.
Inside the Lightsaber"
There are hundreds of uses for a lightsaber in the household alone -- and only a few of them involve dismembering kitchen droids -- but most lightsaber techniques boil down to four key actions. Slicing: From tauntaun bellies to Tofurky roast dinners, lightsabers excel at slicing clean through stuff. Experiment with different angles and speeds for maximum effect, but remain mindful of your surroundings. An offhand lightsaber swing can cut through reinforced beams, plumbing, electrical wiring or grandmothers. Stabbing: A lunging stab or a sneaky activation of your lightsaber next to an adversary's chest is a great way to end a saber duel -- at least in the movies. In everyday life, however, it's a great way to begin carving a large space mammal or to steadily build up heat in a larger mass.

Strawberry Kiwi Fruit Leather
Maddy has been on a “fruit roll-ups” kick lately. Not the actual name brand kind that I so vividly remember peeling away from a cellophane wrapper when I was a kid. No, Maddy’s been eating the Gerber toddler kind. I don’t feel too bad about her eating them in moderation although if she had her way she would eat the entire box of 5 in one sitting.
Kalofagas - Greek Food & Beyond
For those that have been fortunate enough to visit Greece and enjoy some of the world’s freshest seafood, you would have been offered calamari either fried or in this case, grilled. I didn’t always eat calamari (squid) but the deep-fried variety is what converted me. However, grilled squid (or calamari) is what cemented my love for this cheap, easy and delicious seafood dish. Squid can be found at practically every fish & seafood store and most of what’s available has been frozen at some point.
Red Velvet Crêpes
I rolled my eyes at the red velvet cake trend, but now I can’t get enough. I’ll make any excuse to have ‘cake’ for breakfast– here’s my take on a classic. Red Velvet Crepes (Makes about 24, 8″ crepes) Ingredients: – 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour - 1 teaspoon baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon salt - 3 tablespoons sugar - 2 cups butter milk - 1 1/4 cup whole or lowfat milk - 1 large egg - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract - 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder, sifted - 1 tablespoon red food color gel - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted + 2 tablespoons cooking oil (for pan)
Marine Corps Humor: Differences In The Military
In an effort to ensure proper training and readiness among the military services, Congress has approved the following changes to basic principles of recruit training: Haircuts: Marines: Heads will be shaved. Army: Stylish flat-top's for all recruits. Navy: No haircut standard. Air Force: Complete makeovers as seen on the Jenny Jones show.

I first discovered panko bread crumbs back in 1999. Please don’t ask me how I know that; I just do. I remember vividly reading a recipe that contained panko bread crumbs, and I remember vividly that I was nursing my second baby, and I remember vividly that I was hormonal and desperate, and the next thing I knew I was ordering panko bread crumbs from some market in Chelsea that the magazine recommended.
