How To Style a Fishtail Braid

How To Style a Fishtail Braid
We love the look of fishtail braids! This trend is incredibly easy to style, even on your own hair. Kinsey and I photographed the steps so you can try it out for yourself... Here's how to style a fishtail braid... 1. Part your hair into two even sections. 2. Take a small strand of hair (preferably from underneath so that it wraps around the entire seciton) from one section and bring it over to the other side. Next, we had a crazy idea... weave pieces of yarn into the braid? 1. We thought it was pretty cute!

Hair Tutorial: The Perfect Mermaid Curls Although “perfect” is a relative term, this method for curling hair is pretty much perfect by my standards, mostly because it isn’t fussy. While I’m a sucker for both ringlets and Californian waves, I like my own curls somewhere in between: relaxed but bouncy. Mermaid-like. Supplies: 1″ curling iron, brush, and hair sprayTime: 45 minutes (for thick hair) All of the magic happens with Revlon’s “Helen of Troy” ceramic 1″ curling iron. For those who have long, thick hair like me, you might find that larger curling barrels produce the most pathetic excuse for “waves” that fall out within the hour, regardless of the amount of hair spray. Double hair knot When it comes to the year’s fashion trends a lot of 2011 will focus on embellished, quality details – it won’t be exactly the same for 2011 hairstyles, however. Quality, yes. Embellishment, not always. 2011 won’t be a year in which hair trends are based around adornments and accessories – yes, there’ll be headbands, but there’ll be a larger push towards styles that are au naturel. And amongst those styles will be the double hair knot. If you want to keep up to date with all of 2011′s hair trends be sure to subscribe to our fashion newsletter or our RSS feed. DIY: Make your own Halloween dinnerware So now you've seen my interpretation of a Raven themed dinner party, I wanted to show you how I made the dinnerware. If you are like me you probably oogle over the holiday themed dishes but quickly shy away since you don't want to shell out for a whole set just for one celebration. (I don't even have real china so I think its safe to say I won't be buying any themed kind either) So when this idea of making my own for next to nothing came to mind, I just had to try it.

Features - This Into That "Take your favorite pair of denim cut-offs that are in need of a makeover before summer officially hits. Flip your shorts over and prepare to seam rip the back pocket off. Put some muscle into it! Lay your pocket facedown on the backside of some leather skin and trace its outline with chalk. Place your leather pocket where the denim once was and sew it in place.

stencil with freezer paper (harry potter tee)... - StumbleUpon Yes, I am a nerd. I came up with a brilliant idea for a Harry Potter t-shirt and I couldn't resist. "Expecto Patronum!" However, you can make whatever kind of design you want with a freezer paper stencil. It doesn't have to be Harry Potter related. (Although it would be awesome if it was.)

DIY Macrame Bracelet - Honestly WTF Growing up by the beach in Southern California, the ability to knot a macrame bracelet was practically a right of passage. Although those days are long behind us, we’ve never forgotten the ever-so-simple square knot technique. This time, however, we’re replacing hemp and wooden beads for more updated elements like colorful nylon cord and glossy metal charms. Happy knotting! You’ll need: Start by cutting the knotting cord into two 30 inch, two 20 inch and one 10 inch lengths.
