The path makes a continuous movement and thereby draws on the context of the heavy infrastructural surroundings of ring road and tram track. The continuity and endlessness have a double meaning, however. Vlotwatering Bridge The Bat bridge is designed to house bats in as many ways as possible. Grafton Architects 坂茂建築設計 | Shigeru Ban Architects RP House / CMA Arquitectos Architects: CMA Arquitectos Location: Laguna Vichuquen, Vichuquén, Maule Region, Chile Project Architects: Pablo Campano y Gonzalo Martínez Project Area: 700.0 m2 Project Year: 2014 Photographs: Sebastian Aedo / Estudio Apulso Collaborator: Javier Hernández P. Construction: Mauricio Urzúa Energy Efficiency Project: SGE2 Chile SPA From the architect. The property, located at the foot of Lake Vichuquén, in Region VII, is set longitudinally with respect to the horizon, with the aim of recognizing the variety of the landscape and to capture the best views of the lake, through a corridor terrace running along the entire space. The volume is defined as a large pavilion, a body that rests quietly on the territory, mimicking the slope and vegetation. Internally, each space builds its own atmosphere of light and scale, in a wooden enclosure that traverses floors, walls and roof, until getting lost in the ceiling.
diller scofidio + renfro Open standards such as HTML5, WebGL, and WebAssembly have continually matured over the years and serve as viable alternatives for Flash content. Also, major browser vendors are integrating these open standards into their browsers and deprecating most other plug-ins (like Flash Player). See Flash Player EOL announcements from Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Mozilla. By providing more than three years’ advance notice, Adobe believes that there has been sufficient time for developers, designers, businesses, and other parties to migrate Flash content to new standards. bairballiet - bairballiet bairballiet BairBalliet is a design collaborative invested in architectural research in the form of both speculative and built projects. We see opportunity in the synthesis between events and the physical world in which those events take place. Our works examines the potential to place architectural figures (the figural) in direct dialog with its viewers through their volumetric expansion, spatial layering and projective imagery. BairBalliet adopts a design ethos that minimal materials have the potential to produce maximum effects. OMA OMA is a leading international partnership practicing architecture, urbanism, and cultural analysis. OMA's buildings and masterplans around the world insist on intelligent forms while inventing new possibilities for content and everyday use. OMA is led by six partners - Rem Koolhaas, Ellen van Loon, Reinier de Graaf, Shohei Shigematsu, Iyad Alsaka, and David Gianotten - and sustains an international practice with offices in Rotterdam, New York, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Doha. OMA-designed buildings currently under construction include the Taipei Performing Arts Centre; three buildings in Doha, Qatar; the Bibliothèque Multimédia à Vocation Régionale, a four-story public library in Caen; and Bryghusprojektet in Copenhagen, a mixed-use project accommodating the new headquarters for the Danish Architecture Centre. The counterpart to OMA's architectural practice is AMO, a research studio based in Rotterdam. Selection of current OMA and AMO projects: OMA History
