I do love the colors but they wouldn’t go with much in my house at the moment, so I had to improvise. I made a ton of these Santa Jars last year to give Oreo truffles in so I just made another big ol’ one. You can’t really mess this up, red body, white paint for fur, black belt and a silver buckle, last year the buckles were gold. 1000 Paper Cranes Backdrop A few weeks ago I introduced you to one of my lovely Brides Laura who was new to the Diary of a Boho Bride feature. You can read all about Laura’s wedding plans HERE . In Laura’s’ introduction I explained that she is a BIG fan of the old DIY and after a few emails and a few sneaky pictures of stuff she had already created, it was clear that she was an even bigger fan of DIY than I first thought. With this in mind I asked is she fancied putting a few posts together for the Blog and she quite happily agreed. So a few weeks ago Laura came armed with a whole host of goodies to my house and we were joined by Jess from Jess Petrie photography who documented the whole thing.
Crafty Weekend My friend, Olivia, came over today because she wanted to make some painted glasses like I had done in February. Since I can not sit idly by while other people are being crafty, I made these two new glasses. The favorite for me is definitely the squid, only heightened by the fact I used purple and yellow on it which makes it look way more awesome than I could have ever dreamed. It took me a little while to finish due to all the curves, tentacles and whatnot. Also, I mixed some of the paints into a more varied tonal range this time around.
