Jude's playdough was getting a bit tired and I jumped at the chance to make a seasonal batch. I think this is my favorite playdough we've made. It smells wonderful and our "secret" ingredient makes it extra smooth and less susceptible to dry outs. It’s been a whole year since we first made chocolate play dough and it was LONG overdue that we made some and played with it again! What were we thinking waiting so long? This stuff is the BEST! And it seems to stay soft as long as we keep in in plastic bowls or bags. All you need is: 2 cups flour 2 cups water 4 teaspoons cream of tartar 2/3 cup salt 2 tablespoon vegetable oil food coloring This recipe makes a lot, but I like to do it that way so there is enough for all 3 children.

I have been wanting to make one of these for a long time, but I have never found *exactly* the right recipe for one. For this craft, I made four bottles using different methods and ingredients until I found one the worked perfectly and kept the glitter suspended for a few minutes before slowly setting to the bottom. I found one recipe that recommended mixing glitter and water with cheap hair gel, but I found that the glitter stuck to the sides of the bottle, and remained suspended indefintely.
