Explore. Outfits. Last weekend, I mentioned that I never got around to posting all of our photos from Tokyo.
Well, I'm particularly sad that I never posted those from Tokyo DisneySea, because it was such a magical place! I suppose my oversight was for two reasons: I colored my hair back to brown and felt strange posting them back and forth, and I made the mistake of only bringing my pancake lens to the park, which made for some lackluster photos. It's a shame, because this place is the most beautiful theme park I've ever been to, and every inch of it is a photo op. We were originally going to skip this park, since we already hit Disneyland, but some local friends insisted it was an absolute must. That's all we needed for an excuse - we're huge Disney fans, as you might have realized. If you want to see some stunning photos at DisneySea, check out Carrie's post, here (which is also the reason I remembered my own DisneySea photos).
Mickey Mouse handles and windows on the train to the park entrance. How To Style Maiden Braids. Last month I did a makeover story with Kelsie and had many requests for a maiden braid tutorial.
Yesterday she came in and we photographed these simple step by steps. Kelsie has extremely long and thick hair, but anyone with shoulder length or longer can do these braids (see my photo below for an example). Steps 1-2: Braid two strands on each side of a center part. Steps 3-5: Wrap braids around the crown of your head and pin in place with one pin each. Step 6: Arrange braids so that they cover the front of your head like a headband.
Steps 7-8: Pull the rest of the hair into a ponytail and pin it into a cute messy bun. 10 of the Best Drug Store Beauty Buys. I have an apology to make: I used to be one of those girls behind the makeup counter of a big, fancy department store selling you over-priced beauty products.
While I won’t say which brand I worked for, I can tell you that my uniform consisted of all black and way too much makeup. Hey, it was the 90’s, after all. Well, I’m here to make amends. Because, you see, not all department store makeup is better than the drug store version. In fact, a lot of drug store makeup is way better than the junk being sold in the department stores. The beauty industry is full of people pushing products that they don’t stand behind 100%. Also, celebrities rarely endorse products because, like the rest of us, they aren’t always picture perfect and no cosmetic company wants to be represented by someone who actually looks like the rest of us common folk. So, to make up for the error in my ways, I am sharing ten of my all-time favorite drug store beauty buys with you. L’Oréal Volumnious Mascara in Carbon Black. Half Up Waterfall Braid On Yourself! It is starting to feel like fall… pumpkin flavored everything is in full swing, leather jackets and sweaters are being dusted off and…….Halloween will be here soon! I decided last month that I wanted to do some Halloween makeup tutorials because not only will it possibly be able to help some of you wanting to concentrate heavily on your makeup this year but it also gives me the chance to branch out, try some different techniques and have some fun!
I decided to have my first look be a bit gory which is why I settled on this exposed face muscle look. I also wanted to introduce some latex techniques in because the possibilities with it are endless and it is soooo easy to use. This look actually only required three things: grease paint, latex and tissue. Perfect eyebrow shape: Get the look. By Taryn Davies | The ladies of Hollywood have definitely mastered the art of perfect eyebrows...
Follow International make-up artist and spokesperson for The Body Shop, Chase Aston’s five top tips to creating brows that ooze wow factor. For the perfect brow you must groom. Spray a little hairspray onto the Brow & Lash Comb (£8 RRP) and comb brows up and outwards. Then using small nail scissors trim brows so that they lay neat and even. To find the best shape of brow to suit you, take the Eye Definer: 05-White (£8 RRP) and shade over brows until you find your perfect shape, then tweeze out whitened brows only. If you have oily skin, I would suggest that you use a powder brow make-up such as the Brow & Liner Kit (£10 RRP) - mix the two shades together to create natural, long lasting brows.
If you have over-plucked your eyebrows, my first piece of advice will be stop plucking!
