"Without claiming too much, I think is is fair to say that [the] opening chapters of Genesis do seem to indicate a reciprocal plurality in God. Weighty confirmation of this comes in the declaration of Deuteronomy 6:4,5, which the Jews have always taken as their prime proof-text that God is an absolute numerical one. This is the great SHEMA, or "Hear... " with which the Jewish synagogue starts the daily liturgy morning and evening, and which every Jew is suppose to repeat at least once daily. YHWHNAME.html. Dt. 5:6: "I am Yahuah your Alahim . . . " (ANOKY YAHUAH ALAHENU) The four letters YOD-HAY-UAU-HAY are the vowels. Yusef ben MattithYahu (aka "Flavius Josephus") claims to have seen the headpiece worn by the Kohen ha'Gadol, and that the Name was written in four Hebrew vowels.
If one can say "Yahudah", YOD-HAY-UAU-DALETH-HAY, simply remove the "D" sound, and go with it. Bible Translation Version - Click here for information of Version used here Introduction The use of the Sacred Name by Commentators, preachers and in special Sacred Name Bible publications, have been rapidly increasing over the last few decades. According to Jewish Orthodox tradition, the Sacred Name is not to be uttered and accordingly, the form "G-d " is used in writing or printing. With due respect to our Jewish readers and to the Almighty, we teach and print the Sacred Name for the following reasons, which we feel do override all other considerations: YAH or YAHU.
The Hebrew Name for God - Elohim. The name Elohim is unique to Hebraic thinking: it occurs only in Hebrew and in no other ancient Semitic language.
The masculine plural ending does not mean “gods” when referring to the true God of Israel, since the name is mainly used with singular verb forms and with adjectives and pronouns in the singular (e.g., see Gen. 1:26). However, considering the Hashalush HaKadosh (Trinity), the form indeed allows for the plurality within the Godhead. In the traditional Jewish view, Elohim is the Name of God as the Creator and Judge of the universe (Gen 1:1-2:4a). “The Holy One, Blessed be He, said to those, You want to know my name? In the second creation story (Genesis 2:4b-ff) the Name of God is revealed as the Sacred Name YHVH (from the semitic root that means “to be”) and expresses the idea of God’s closeness to humans.
