There, he declares a challenge toward any student and claims he will bring to the ruin the whole school through a series of gambling matches. Nobody knows why he has come to that school or what the real motivations behind his actions are.

During any match, Tomu shows off all of his unique coolness and ability. Shigurui. Paranoia Agent. Creation[edit] During the makings of his previous three films (Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress, and Tokyo Godfathers), Paranoia Agent creator Satoshi Kon was left with an abundance of unused ideas for stories and arrangements that he felt were good but did not fit into any of his projects.

Not wanting to waste the material, he decided to recycle it into a dynamic TV series in which his experimental ideas could be used. In the case of a film to be shown at theatres, I'm working for two years and a half, always in the same mood and with the same method. I wanted to do something that allows me to be more flexible, to realize instantly what flashes across my mind. I was also aiming at a sort of entertaining variation, so I decided to go for a TV series.[1]

The Drifting Classroom

Is a horror manga series by Kazuo Umezu. It was awarded the 20th Shogakukan Manga Award in general category in 1974.[1] The story was adapted into a Japanese live action movie in 1987, and given a modern setting at an international school in Kobe. The movie starred Hayashi Yasufumi and Aiko Asano. It is unusual among Japanese movies in that most of the dialogue is in English. A more modern remake came in the form of a fully Japanese language dorama (The Long Love Letter) which changed it into a love-story of sorts.[2] Plot summary[edit] Sho Takamatsu, a sixth grader, proceeds to school following a bitter argument with his mother about her throwing out his things.

In the face of this unexpected and frightening development, many of the adults and students at school lose their wits. The stranded children meet many challenges in their desperate fight for survival.
