Pop Champagne: DIY: Fringe Net Tank. I saw this tank at Planet Blue a while ago and loved the style, so I decided to convert this tank dress into something like it.

And then I bought Guitar Hero with the money saved. And I'm picking up a second guitar tonight because it's depressing when you play that game alone (it's an open invite if you want to play with me, come over!). And yes, the game is old. But your grandma's old, and you still spend time with her. So don't judge. Here are the steps: 1. 2. 3. And so here's another easy DIY without using the sewing machine.

DIY lace insert tee. It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a moon in my shirt!

DIY lace insert tee

A DIY, lace-insert moon with no sewing necessary, that is. You know how I love hem tape and it’s iron-on nature which means I don’t have to take the sewing machine down from the really high shelf in my storage closet – so high I need Joey or a chair to reach. I also love lace and inserting things…mmmkay, I mean, I like cut-outs! This is a great DIY to update/upcycle an old shirt, or any article of clothing (a jean jacket would be way cute too!) , it’s good for warm weather for air flow, and of course you can do any shape you like…maybe a full moon… aka a circle. Creating Laura: No-Sew T-Shirt Bow Sleeves. I'm very excited to share this t-shirt project with you guys today!

Creating Laura: No-Sew T-Shirt Bow Sleeves

I came up with the idea a whole month ago while I was still on the ship and I didn't have time to execute it until now. Now is a funny time, however, because it's snowing like crazy here (in May!). I started this project yesterday, and while I was working on it, I came up with a fun idea to take pictures of it outside in the sunshine. I wanted to let the glue dry overnight before I took those pictures, though, and man was I surprised when I woke up to a winter (spring?) Wonderland this morning! All you need to make these bow sleeves are a t-shirt, a pair of scissors, some machine washable glue (I used E6000), measuring tape, and about 10 minutes of your time. Here are the directions: 1. T-Shirt Bolero DIY.

I discovered this Bolero when I was trying to use up some left over t-shirts I had sitting around from other projects.

(I have so many of these.) Cut a half circle. If you cut the circle half way fold it over and use that as a template you will get a pretty even half circle. It should look like this. Cut the middle of the collar. Now turn your shirt upside down, the collar will now be the waist.

Fold your Scrap Half circle in half. For the Back Tie, cut a 1 inch strip then cut the back tie strip in half long ways. Stretch out your two back ties Now take your two waist ties and pin to your collar: right sides together. Sew those together. this will be the ties around your waist. I used studs but you could hand stitch this really quick. What was once the collar is now the waist. Project Re-Style #12.
