Time for a Mudslide…on a Stick
Fall is almost here and with that we are letting up on the fruit in the Poptails-a bit. But what we are not letting up on is the booze. Get your mixing hands ready for this mudslide with a twist. We went and added a banana in the mix. The sweetness of the banana neutralizes any tang the vanilla yogurt body may have, and adds a bit of creaminess to the mixture. While we were at it, we also threw in some grated chocolate for added flavor and texture.
Brazilian Lemonade
This is my most favorite drink. Ever. Maybe I’d feel differently if I drank (as in alcohol), but there is nothing I love more than a warm, breezy afternoon and a pitcher of Brazilian lemonade. I didn’t try it for a long, long time because I was very put off by putting sweetened condensed milk in with citrus fruit. It seemed very wrong. And then I had some at Tucano’s and my life has not been the same since.
Perfect Iced Coffee
Iced coffee is my life. When I wake up, often around the time party animals on the west coast are just heading home, I start each day not with a cup of freshly brewed hot java, but with a tall, blessed glass of creamy iced coffee in a glass. I’ve been an iced coffee freakazoid for years and years.
Recipes « Vegan Mischief » recipes, reviews, & more from a pair of queer vegans in Vancouver, Canada
We made these for our most recent brunch to rave reviews. Warning: if you are going to make these, be prepared to use a LOT of Earth Balance, a LOT of sugar, and a LOT of flour. These are by no means healthy, despite the inclusion of fruit.
Dreamy Food Design: Chocolate Ice Cubes In Vanilla
I don’t drink milk, but this doesn’t even look like milk to me. It looks like a dreamy concoction of chocolate and vanilla heaven. These are frozen chocolate ice cubes in vanilla flavored milk.
Boozy Red, White, and Blueberry Cheesecake Popsicles - Host The Toast Blog
I’m really bad at coming up with short recipe names. I thought about calling these “The Absolute Best Frozen Dessert The World Has Ever Seen”, but that seemed a little too wordy. Boozy Red, White, and Blueberry Cheesecake Popsicles was shorter– by a margin– so I went with that.
How to Make Pizza Without Dough
I was getting kind of sick of ordering delivery pizza (this happens at least 2-3 times a month). It was time to put a spin on gourmet pizza, but I just didn't know what it would be. Without pizza dough or an oven that is capable of creating the perfect pizza crust (I don't have an oven that can go up to a 1000 degrees), I decided I would use potatoes instead. This recipe is elegant enough to serve at a dinner party, but easy enough that you can cook it within 5-15 minutes. For 4 small, personal sized pizzas 4" in diameter, you will need: 2 large potatoes peeled and cleaned4 teaspoons salt (to flavor the potatoes)
Iced Coffee How-To - Imbibe Magazine
Apparent simplicity is a precarious thing. Iced coffee seems like it should be a cinch—just throw some strong brew on the rocks and you’re good to go. But coffee is a fragile potion, sensitive to brewing techniques and extreme temperatures. As a result, iced coffee is often acrid, sour, flat or disappointingly weak. Happily, these pitfalls can be avoided with a little practice and attention to detail.

Kombucha Is a Fermented Drink That's Good for Your Gut and Easily Made at Home
I've made Kombucha at home and it is remarkably difficult to mess up. It's also is an acquired taste. I'll bet on most of the stories you've heard from people who posted negatively either botched the brewing process (aka didn't follow any of the readily available wealth of instructions, because they a) are big dummies or b) figured they knew better and did it their own way. I'd pick the latter on that, just look at forums on recipes online, everybody thinks they have a better way to improve a simple recipe) Another consideration is that they were simply drinking TOO much of it. This happened to a friend of mine with Natto....which is absolutely disgusting to begin with.
Say Cheers with a Moscato Berry Sangria! - Mama Harris' Kitchen
Hey guys, guess what? Today is my birthday!! Yes, Happy Birthday to me! Since my husband and I have birthdays within just days of each other, we often combine our days and have a big celebration for us both. We decided to do that this year, so this past Saturday night we invited friends and family over for food and drinks while we had the fight on one tv and the basketball game on the other.
