For me, that meant summer trips through Poland’s coastal cities with their seasonal arcade parlors; peeking inside cabinets to learn programming and engineering secrets; and—of course—free games! One of my favorites was PAC-MAN, whose popularity transcended the geopolitical barriers of that time. Today, on PAC-MAN’s 30th birthday, you can rediscover some of your 8-bit memories—or meet PAC-MAN for the first time—through our first-ever playable Google doodle. Victorian All-in-One PC The inexorable march of technology has rendered my 4:3 aspect ratio 19" LCD mod and my pump-less water cooled PC obsolete, so when I saw at 24" wide screen monitor on sale for $299.00 I grabbed it with the intent on making a Steampunk All-in-One PC. The first step was to strip down the monitor and trim it into a nice clean and even rectangle. I taped some paper over the face to protect it from scratches and removed the base and back before cutting it to the desired height on my table saw. Note: turn the volume down, it came over much louder on the video then it actually was! I then fabricated an aluminum plate to support the monitor, motherboard and disk drives. The longer of the three shelves was placed face down to form the front of the base. I finished the base with a coat of black spray lacquer and topped the supports off with some pieces of a brass chandelier from my junk box. Heres the completed base showing the space for the PSU and the monitor assembled to the supports.

The shelf, cement and fibre can be bought from a pottery supplies store. If you are using an oil drum then you need to cut a lid in the top. Then cut and glue the fibre to the inside of the container. The best video I have found that explains this process is this one from Simon of Sleachpots Simon says you should get about 20 firings from the gas bottle depending on the duration and number of pots you are firing. There’s a good chance that you’ve played with things in other applications that are similar to Smart Bookmarks. Just a few weeks ago we showed you how to quickly restore the default Smart Bookmarks that come with the browser, but did you know that it’s also possible to make your own? The first thing we’re going to do is show you the steps needed to create a new Smart Bookmark, and then we’re going to give you an overview of the query syntax you’ll want to use to take things up a notch. –Creating a Smart Bookmark– There are a few different ways that you can create a Smart Bookmark, but I’m going to show you the one that I believe is the easiest.
