Thursday, January 10th, 2013 Last semester, we spent time reading simple stories together in German. There are a couple of stories we downloaded from Amazon, Peter und das Huhn and Der Kartoffel-troll. We read them aloud together and I had the kids do a few activities related to those stories.

Spiele eignen sich gut für den projektorientierten Unterricht. Die Schulung zum strategischen Denken ist über spielerische Ebenen leichter zu erreichen als durch sinnloses Auswendiglernen. Spielerisch kann viel leichter und angenehmer wichtiger Lernstoff trainiert werden. Der Spaß am Lernen sollte auf keinen Fall zu kurz kommen. Als Spielelemente eignen sich Quartette, Bingospiele, Memorys aber auch angepasste Würfelspiele, bei denen gelegentlich sogar auf „Gewinner” und „Verlierer” verzichtet werden kann. Schlecht ist das Verlieren auch nicht, denn die Kinder müssen auch lernen, mit Misserfolgen fertig zu werden und in einer Gruppe angemessen zu reagieren.
