Red Rat Returns after 113 Years The red-crested tree rat had not been seen since 1898, when William McKinley was President of the United States, despite several organized searches–yet one appeared just this month in the El Dorado Nature Reserve in northern Columbia. (It is also called the Red Crested Soft-Furred Spiny-Rat.) Lizzie Noble, who was one of the volunteers who spotted and photographed the very rare red rodent said, “He just shuffled up the handrail near where we were sitting and seemed totally unperturbed by all the excitement he was causing. We are absolutely delighted to have rediscovered such a wonderful creature after just a month of volunteering with ProAves. Clearly the El Dorado Reserve has many more exciting discoveries waiting”. Self Describing Skills - Key Strengths - Careers-Employment You need to be the best you can at describing your best qualities; particularly your key strengths. In my coaching practice I generally, at some point, ask my client: "What are you good at?" purely as a means to establish if they have already thought through this most important question. Some have, but more often they haven't and the answer usually involves lots of head-scratching, umms and arrhs and then quite often a monologue on what they're NOT good at!! Your answer to this should be your key strengths statement which we talked about in personal marketing on my website - let me remind you. A "Key Strengths" statement is a summary of your most powerful skills and attributes.

Time is More Valuable than Money Most people look at their bank accounts with great attention and assess how much money they have to spend, to invest, and to give away… But, they don’t look at their time the same way, and end up wasting this incredibly valuable resource. In fact, time is much more valuable than money because you can use your time to make money, but you can’t use money to purchase more time. Time is the great equalizer… Each day has only 24 hours - nobody has any more than anyone else. Everyone, from poets to presidents, fills those hours, one after the other, until they are all filled up.

(Sliding scale for volume Digital Scanning Backs for Large Format Photography Providing a combination of large, high-resolution files, extraordinary detail, and superb control of color and tones, Better Light scan backs have been the camera of choice for some of the most successful advertising, commercial, industrial, art repro and archival applications in the photo industry. The technology used by Better Light is totally different from the single-shot digital capture cameras using area array sensors (CCD and CMOS). Our scan backs gather the information for the image in one continuous scan as the light is collected by three, individually filtered rows of pixels – this is called a tri-linear CCD. Since it moves across the “film plane” capturing light one row of pixels at a time, it will take several minutes to complete a large file.
Stop Criticizing Your Body and Start Critiquing Our Culture's Devotion to Thinness In my last blog, I encouraged you to make a different kind of New Year's resolution. Instead of vowing to do whatever it takes to lose weight and "improve" your figure, how about committing to practicing peace with your body? In other words, why not make a conscious effort to accept, appreciate, nurture, and enjoy body you have? I borrowed the phrase, "practicing peace with your body," from my friend Cissy Brady-Rogers, who is a therapist specializing in the treatment of women with body image and eating problems. She coined the phrase to emphasize that making peace with your body is an ongoing process, rather than something you achieve once and for all. In a culture that worships the slender ideal and constantly encourages us to go to war with our bodies-to monitor, control, restrict, punish, loathe, "fix" and fixate on them-learning to live harmoniously in one's own flesh is the journey of a lifetime.
