Reading Rainbow Returns As A Startup And An iPad App Back in 2009, NPR ran a story titled “‘Reading Rainbow’ Reaches Its Final Chapter.” At the time, that probably seemed like a reasonable headline — after all, after 26 years, the beloved TV show was going off the air, the victim of changing government funding priorities. But it looks like there’s actually a lot more to the Reading Rainbow story, and its next chapter is starting in earnest today, with the launch of a new iPad app. Free Use Rules Free Pictures - FreeFoto.com - Ref:99-05 FreeFoto.com provides its images under three available licensing options. 1) ANYONE, by which we mean commercial and non-commercial alike, can use FreeFoto.com images in an online setting, providing they provide attribution to the image and a link back to FreeFoto.com (either the image or the main site). Reflection lets you view your iPhone 4S or iPad 2′s screen in real time with no prior set up – just launch the app, select your Mac from your iOS device’s AirPlay menu, and you’re streaming. For the Connected Mobile Classroom – Nearpod I’m always interested in just how 1:1 will roll out with portable devices. So, when I heard about Nearpod, I needed to download it and test it here in dougpete labs. Quickly create Google documents in a specific folder through these special links - #Eduk8me Yesterday I showed the special links you can use to create Google documents. But what if you want to create new documents in a particular folder? I create a new folder for every school year. For example, this year I have a folder named 16-17. Anything I re-use from last year I make a copy of it from the 15-16 folder and put it in the 16-17 folder.

At first, Three Ring seemed a little too simple for me, but after spending time learning the ins and outs, I love it. For me, the most important feature is the unlimited storage. With Evernote, the free version only gives 60MB of uploads per month. With the amount of activity in my various classes, this is not enough and I haven't been bale to justify to myself the extra expense to upgrade. Now, I can use Three Ring for the classroom, and Evernote for personal items and professional development. by harpj Nov 15
