Strawberry Champagne Ruffle Cake for a Virtual Baby Shower – Cook Like a Champion
Without a doubt, one of the most rewarding things about food blogging is all the amazing friends I’ve made along the way. Even though we’ve never met in person, I am so thankful to have made such wonderful friends, and I hope we’ll all have the chance to meet someday. I hate that we’re spread all over the country because I know we would all have a fabulous time together.

SugarBlog - Homemade Hostess Cupcake Cake Balls
This is not a lie... this is the truth... There are times when I will have lots of yummy, homemade baked goods in my house and I will drive to the gas station to get a Hostess Cupcake. They are my favorite. And they are adorable....
Forgotten Cookies
I love cookbooks. I mean I really, really love cookbooks. You may remember that not long ago BeeBop built me some very special bookcases just to hold my cookbooks.
S'mores Cookies
These cookies are every bit as delicious as they look. You may have noticed that I have been in a s'mores kick lately. First with the cookie dough pops, then with these cookies. I also plan to make additional s'mores themed treats this weekend. I saw a version of s'mores cookies on Make and Bake and became immediately intrigued. I knew I had to try to make these...the sooner the better.
chocolate peanut butter cake
Alex’s birthday was this past weekend and in case you are new here, let me give you a loose outline of a Standard Dessert Alex Politely Requests: Chocolate. Chocolate with chocolate. Chocolate with caramel. Chocolate with toffee.
Nutella Cupcakes with Nutella Buttercream
It’s a Nutella nation lately. Nutella is everywhere: in cookies, on toast, topping graham crackers and being baked into brownies. This time I baked it into the cupcake and then topped the whole thing off with more chocolate and hazelnut spread. Take it a step further and pipe some unaltered Nutella straight into the center while the cupcakes are still warm before frosting.
Chocolate Cupcakes with Flaming Strawberries
Call me easily amused, but these little torch-topped cupcakes delight me. Besides being a cute novelty item for a party, I think they would add a little drama to the end of a romantic meal. I've been looking for something different to serve for Valentine's dessert, and this is definitely different.
Mint Chocolate Chip Cake
Chocolate cake and I have had a very interesting romance. I started off with quite an intense dislike of chocolate cake. I KNOW. But try not to judge me too harshly, I had many bad experiences with store-bought dry, dense mudcakes covered in grainy baking chocolate icing. So every year when I asked Regex Man what cake he would like for his birthday and every year he replied me with "Chocolate.
Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread
I’m sorry. I know it’s Monday morning and you probably came here for some pretty pictures of food that you could glance at, and then move on with your day… and here I go thrusting warm, soft cinnamon sugar bread in your face. It’s not fair. I know it’s not fair. I know that now you’re craving cinnamon rolls, and cream cheese frosting and chili fries and hot dogs.
sweet saturday: one minute peanut butter cake
Picture this scene: it’s 8:30 in the evening. The sky is just starting to get dark outside your living room window. You ate a delicious, healthy and veggie-filled dinner a few hours ago and now you are ready to sit down to the most recent episode of So You Think You Can Dance and dive into a decadent plate of dessert. Oh wait, you have no dessert. No chocolate, no cookies, no ice cream, no cake, no pie, not even a Jordan almond.
Coca-Cola Cupcakes
I don’t drink coca-cola. But I do eat it. Weird.
