Anthro-Inspired Serving Tower & Flamingo Toes
There are some beautiful serving pieces cropping up around blogland, using all sorts of great materials, and I’ve been wanting to do something similar. In browsing Anthro a couple of weeks ago (I know I know, I actually went in the store – but I had a good friend on speed dial in case I succumbed to anything too crazy) I came across a serving tower made from beautiful white dishes and cups, stacked on top of each other. Now because I was in an Anthro-high-price stupor, I did not take a picture of this lovely item. And of course it is nowhere on line. This is the closest thing I could find on their site. You get the idea.
Pioneer Woman Homeschooling
Photos and Post By Emelie Sanders. When Momma takes us to the bookstore we each get a book; sometimes two–it depends on her mood, really. Usually, I take the longest time. I quickly scan the fiction area, then turn to the small nook of craft books. This recent visit I found How to Make Books: Fold, Cut & Stitch Your Way to a One-of-a-Kind Book by Esther K.

solid perfume pocket watch locket
Try as I might, I cannot seem to grasp even the most basic of feminine beauty rituals. I’m constantly struggling to master rudimentary hair and makeup techniques, and my one-time foray into the “subtle” art of perfume left everyone in the room with burning nostrils. This DIY solid perfume locket from artisanal perfumer Mandy Aftel is something I can definitely stand behind, though. Mandy only uses pure and natural ingredients to create her perfumes, and this solid scent can be easily applied with no risk of over-dousing. The old pocket watch appeals to my tomboy side, and I love its versatility; you can wear it as a necklace or pin, or simply tuck it into your pocket or purse.
Year Boxes
In keeping with my "documenting life" theme, I found this little craft over a year ago and I knew I had to recreate it. I found it HERE... the blog needs no introduction because all know and love Design Sponge. The Year Box The premise of the year box is that you have a card for every day of the year and they are divided by month.
Delightfully Tacky: DIY // Faux Flower Crown

Love is All You Need
Something about the Chinese soup spoon - the white shiny surface, the wide spoon area - calls out to me like a blank canvas. It’s also a fixture in my life…a symbol of childhood and culture, of home, and of comfort. Of love. And I love The Beatles. All you need is love, bum bum bumbum be dum, Love is all you need.
