August 2016 – SWHarden.com I just spent the afternoon reverse-engineering the 72 series TENMA multimeter serial interface, and can now access all of its readings from a standalone Python script. This lets me send all measurements made with the multimeter to my computer in real time (using an optically isolated connection), and eliminates the need for the TENMA PC interface software. In addition to allowing the development of custom software to use measurements from TENMA multimeters in real time, this project also lets allows TENMA multimeters to interface with Linux computers (such as the raspberry pi). I’ve had a TENMA 72-7750 multimeter for several years, and over all I’ve been happy with it! To be honest, 90% of my multimeter needs are just using a continuity tester or checking to see if there is voltage on a line.
Audio FX Mini Sound Board - WAV/OGG Trigger 16MB Flash ID: 2341 - $19.95 Would you like to add audio/sound effects to your next project, without an Arduino+Shield? Or maybe you don't even know how to use microcontrollers, you just want to make a sound play whenever you press a button. What about something that has to be very small and portable? You are probably feeling a little frustrated: it's been very hard to find a simple, low cost audio effects trigger that is easy to use and does not require any programming
Best Free Programming Courses on the Internet Programming is a beautiful art. Well, though traditionally, one might call it a science, it's more of an art if you look at it in an objective perspective. Programming, like painting or music, once learned, lets you create new things. In fact, once you learn to code, you can even change people's lives by bringing them programs or apps that they need. In your own artistic way, by the sheer power of code, you can affect how people interact with their computers, smartphones, and other devices thus making programming a powerful tool in modern society. Code is poetry, as you may have heard somewhere. 6 Great Interactive Tools to Try Out in Your Class December 13, 2017 Here are six of our favourite interactive tools you can use with students in your class. These are all tools created and shared by ReadWriteThink. Some of the things students can do with these tools include: mapping out arguments for a persuasive essay or debate, summarizing and synthesizing information using cube Creator, creating newspapers and brochures, preparing for reading activities using K-W-L Creator and many more. We invite you to check them out and share with us your feedback. 1- Persuasion Map2- K-W-L Creator3- Cube Creator4- Word Mover5- Printing Press6- Venn Diagram
HOW TO GET WHAT YOU WANT This example shows how to construct a “textile” flexible tilt sensor from extremely cheap and available materials. Substituting conductive fabric and a metal bead for aluminum foil. Fuse fusible interfacing to a piece of aluminum foil. DIY Reference 10 MHz Distribution Amplifier - JackenHack I wanted to get a distribution amplifier for my 10 MHz lab reference signal from my GPSDO to feed my equipment, like my timer/frequency counter, signal generator and other stuff. I also needed a way of distribute a 1 PPS signal from my Trimble GPSDO to my NTP servers and other clocks and monitoring systems. The Trimble only got two 10 MHz outputs and one 1 PPS signal output, so I really needed to add more, especially for experimentation.
SEGGER J-Link EDU - JTAG/SWD Debugger ID: 1369 - $69.95 The SEGGER J-Link EDU is identical to the more expensive J-Link BASE model except for the terms of use. If you're going to use your debugger strictly for personal, non-commercial projects, such as publishing open source designs that you're not selling, then you should get this EDU version! It's the same but significantly cheaper.
How to Learn Arduino for Free According to Arduino.cc an Arduino microcontroller board is an open source board that allows its user develops interactive objects, taking inputs from a variety of switches or sensors, and controlling a variety of lights, motors, and other physical outputs. Arduino projects can be stand-alone, or they can communicate with a software running on your computer since its open source it allows anyone development environment for writing software for the board. In short Arduino is an open-source microcontroller board that allows its user controls nearly any physical object they’ve. There are many advantages for the Arduino board over the competition; it’s cheap (at least if you live in the developed world), cross-platform (can run he development environment on any operating system), open source and extendible. If you just want the bottom line (the road map to learning about Arduino) and you don’t wish to read the entire article then go to the “Bottom Line” section at the end of the article.
5 Good Alternatives to Google Image Search Google Images tends to be the default image search tool of students and adults who haven't been introduced to better options. Google Images is convenient, but it's not the best place for students to find images that are in the public domain or images that have been labeled with a Creative Commons license. Here are five better options.
Mover Kit - The first active wearable that kids make & code by Technology Will Save Us Risks and challenges Everyone says it; “hardware is hard”. This is true, and we love it! For over three years we have been building a product business with hardware, software and kids at the center of it. We have shipped over 60,000 kits to over 97 countries and have designed a team around making sure we have control and partners to deliver the best end-to-end experience. From the out of the box experience, to our tight supply chain and our customer satisfaction and support.
Integrate ArduinoISP and Atmel Studio: 4 Steps Since you have used the Arduino IDE to load the ArduinoISP sketch to your Arduino board, this means that you already have AVRDUDE installed in your computer. AVRDUDE is a command line application that intermediates the firmware loading process on your computer side. Long story short, AVRDUDE reads the .hex file produced by the compilation and translation process and queues it in order to output it correctly through the serial port. From there the USB-serial converter on your Uno board (the black square next to the USB port) reads it from the USB line, sends it to the ATMEGA on the Arduino Uno board and finally outputs it through SPI to the target microcontroller. One of the coolest features of Atmel Studio is the support to external tools, like the AVRDUDE itself.
Send and Receive MIDI with Arduino : Receive MIDI Messages with Arduino Most Arduino MIDI projects send MIDI messages out, but you can also use the Arduino to receive MIDI data. Here are some ideas: an Arduino synthesizer that uses MIDI messages to construct audio waveforms a device which uses MIDI to trigger mechanical events, like the ringing of different sized bells a MIDI to control voltage(CV) device- communication between MIDI and analog synthesizers 30+ YouTube Channels To Learn Programming - Eton Digital With many fantastic online resources, especially video tutorials, learning to code by yourself has never been easier. But while some channels are great, other might be a waste of your time. Moreover, some are great sources of useful tips and tricks for beginners, and some others are best for learning PHP or Java.
