Artistic Anatomy
Is learning to draw anatomy in a classroom more secure (since there is a teacher to check the work and possibly a book to study from) in practicing artistic anatomy drawing, or should artists focus on just practicing from images on websites/blogs like this tumblr? Asketh - pjmx24 Depending on the size of your class and where you are, your teacher can be a great guide to help you and show you what areas you need to focus on more to improve and give you good material to work from! Outside of class (or if you have no class) you should focus on drawing in a sketchbook dedicated for life drawing/anatomy. Hope that gives you some insight!

The Italian artist Alessandro Diddi questions the point of view and the relevance of the look at things we can have through its anamorphose. From the point of view that one takes, sketches made in pencil appear to be three dimensional. Some incredible trompe l’oeil to discover in images.

Use the video and step-by-step drawing instructions below to learn how to draw Tigger from Disney's Winnie the Pooh. A new cartoon drawing tutorial is uploaded every week, so stay tooned! Intro: Start drawing Tigger with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Step 1: Start drawing Tigger with a circle on top half of the page. Step 2: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the circle, one vertical and one horizontal. Step 3: Now draw a circle inside the main circle on the lower right side. Step 4: Draw two C-shaped curves on either side of Tigger’s head, which will be his ears. Step 5: Below the main head shape, draw two big U-shaped curves, one inside the other.

Zentangle®
Hi All, I know this isn't watercolor, although I do combine it with watercolors sometimes, but I'm answering the question that was raised in this morning's "WASH" as to what zentangle® is. I've become a Certified Zentangle Teacher, or CZT, since I used to hang around here in WC and I just wanted to post this somewhere where those who asked the question as to what zentangle® is would see the answer. (My making anywhere near beginning of the "Daily Wash" thread is a rarity.) I imagine this would normally be posted in a "Mixed Media" forum. Please accept my apologies for this one-time breach of WC etiquette. Yes, as someone said, and to put it simply, zentangle® is a meditative form of art using repetitive patterns. Tangles are basically done on 3.5" X 3.5" tiles with a micron pen, no artistic talent needed. And here is a zentangle® inspired piece of artwork, or as it's called in the tangling world, a ZIA, that I began by dropping watercolors onto Strathmore bristol paper.
