CRÉA Ora-Ito - En When we look at retro modern scenes ~ the future as imagined back in the 60s ~ the jetson’s styled stuff… i keep wondering where our gorgeous image of the future we’ll look back on in 50 years is, and will still wish we had (if we don’t already have it by then!)… then i saw this EVO-mobil design by Ora-Ito for Citroën… or even more impressive, i was won over by the photoshoot of it with actress Mylène Jampanoï for the stunningly artistic automotive mag, Intersection… and i wish i lived in that reality! Its so beautiful! “After more than 3 years of collaboration with Citroën on the development of architectural projects, Ora-ïto turned to the manufacturer to develop his first artistic project. The iconoclastic artist wasn’t dreaming about another concept car but a genetic transformation. An unusual creation reuniting more than 400 years of history, a reflection on the evolution of the mobility and the legendary know-how of Citroën.
Dejection-moulding by Manuel Jouvin French designer Manuel Jouvin has created packaging for cooked snails made of dyed snail excrement. Snails are encouraged to eat coloured paper, which alters the colour of the raw material. Called Dejection-Moulding, the project was developed in collaboration with snail farmer Sylvie Pierru. Here's some text from Jouvin: Post-graduation project "Dejection-molding" Charles & Ray_Eames Charles and Ray Eames are among the most important American designers of this century. They are best known for their groundbreaking contributions to architecture, furniture design (e.g., the Eames Chair), industrial design and manufacturing, and the photographic arts. Charles Eames was born in 1907 in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended school there and developed an interest in engineering and architecture. After attending Washington University on scholarship for two years and being thrown out for his advocacy of Frank Lloyd Wright, he began working in an architectural office.
Jackson Pollock. Authentication, certificates of authenticity and expert appraisals. Jackson Pollock is perhaps one of the most famous American painters to have ever lived, best known for his "splashed" Abstract Expressionist canvases. His synthetic style of painting was a major influence on American Abstract Expressionist art. While his work may be hard for some to understand, and may seem ridiculously simple, his art and technique was surprisingly original and opened minds. Convergence 1952 Also dubbed "drip" painting (though Pollock preferred the term "pour"), Pollock's style has been attributed as one of the origins of Action Painting. He created these unique compositions by placing his canvas on the floor and standing over them.
