Upcycling: Magazine Beads When I was a child, making paper beads from the stacks of National Geographic was one of my favorite indoor pastimes. And I’m not the only one. The creation of beads from colorful paper goes back to Victorian times when ladies used knitting needles and paper scraps to create beads for decorations around their homes. The style of the beads varies considerably depending on how you cut your strips of paper.

The Pinhegg – My Journey To Build An Egg Pinhole Camera Since I started pin-holing the world, I have had the strong desire to make a special camera, with the purpose of shooting just one photograph. The purpose was to sacrifice the camera in the process of photo creation – I wanted the camera to become the photograph. To let you understand, the process from the camera to the photograph is the same that ties the baby bird to the egg: the bird grows protected from the shell and when it's ready breaks it and comes out. They will eventually no longer be allowed to be sold in the United States. People will be looking for creative things to do with all those incandescent lamps (subject of a future Trashy Wench blog, I'm sure) and all the bulbs in those lamps, regardless of whether they are working or burnt out bulbs. The incandescent bulbs come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, all with wonderful curves of all shapes, sort of like the Wench and her wonderful female friends! Here are some pictures of bright ideas of what others have done with their curvy little bulbs: Hot Air Balloon Decorations

My Alice pieces Last year, I saw that Gallery Nucleus announced the upcoming show "Curiouser and Curiouser: Inspired by Alice in Wonderland". It made me wanted to join but I didn't get invited by them. I must admit that I never draw any girl characters like Alice, Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, etc. During my childhood years, I always drew Betty & Veronica from Archie comics, Garfield, Mickey Mouse, Ranma 1/2, Dragonballz, Felix the Cat and mostly cartoon characters. In the beginning of January 2010, I was super stressed in preparing & making artworks for Whispers show and Outerspace Gallery show, I got unexpectedly invited by Lin from Gallery Nucleus for the Alice theme show. I didn't confirm because I was so busy in doing other art projects... but I thought of myself, "Aww come on, Mall!
