MRBS. MRBS is a free, GPL, web application using PHP and MySQL/pgsql for booking meeting rooms or other resources.
This very simple module offers single sign-on integration with MRBS and Drupal. The module uses Drupal user accounts, permissions and sessions with MRBS. Currently the module has only been tested when MRBS is installed in a subdirectory of Drupal root directory, but it should be quite easy to modify it for other installations.

It was created by Randall Library at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where it is used by students, faculty, and staff to reserve group study rooms within the library. During the most recent month (November 2012), 1781 reservations were made for the library's 15 group study rooms with almost no assistance or involvement from library personnel. Users are presented with an easy to read reservation calendar that shows bookings and open times for all the available rooms. To make a reservation, the user clicks on an open time block and fills out a short reservation form. A confirmation is sent immediately by email or cell phone text message, and reminders are sent if the reservation is made more than a day in advance. The module can be extensively configured to meet the needs of different institutions.

All academic libraries have rooms set aside for student study and collaboration. These rooms are often available on a first come, first serve basis. Many libraries would like to have a room reservation system that would allow students to better plan their use of these often scarce resources, but setting up and administering such a system without computer support is a very difficult and time consuming undertaking. The Room Reservation module was created to meet this need.
It allows any library to very quickly put together a reservation system customized to its own particular requirements. Although this application was written specifically for use by academic libraries, it could also be useful to any facility that provides rooms that can be reserved and used on a short term basis.
