Fall/Winter 2010-2011 Haircut Trends Fall/winter 2010-2011 hairstyles are all about effortless shapes and natural texture. We are talking about long, very long, healthy hair, messy bobs with or without bangs, and super short hairstyles. Bangs are very popular, as long as you keep it natural and simple. For fall/winter 2010-2011, long hair becomes longer, while short means super short. When it comes to hair color, drastic changes are the key words. Super short Very short hair, “à la garçonne” style is the ideal hairstyle for fall/winter 2010-2011 specially created for bold women. Today you can adopt a playful look, tomorrow you can be a strong business woman, and in the evening you can play the passionate and sexy woman. Bob The layered short bob is the ultimate trend for fall/winter 2010-2011, but make sure it has a studied messiness. Bobs are easy to style, are very practical and work great for every face shape. Medium-length hair Medium-length seems to be the safest option when it comes to hairstyles. Long hair
mbine textures with vectors | Tutorial | Computer Arts magazine When you work with Illustrator and Photoshop together, you have the best of both worlds. Illustrator has an impressive set of vector drawing tools and features, enabling you to create wonderfully detailed, sharp illustrations with ease. However, sometimes the sharpness inherent within vector art is also its downfall. Vector graphics can look too perfect, especially when reproduced at scale. Adding the necessary imperfections is where Photoshop comes in. Click here to download the support files (1.05MB) Click here to download the tutorial for free
My God, I'm Delicious !! - 17 Awesome Illustrations by Sir Mitchell | Ufunk.net - StumbleUpon My God, I’m Delicious !! – 17 Awesome Illustrations by Sir Mitchell 17 amazing and funny illustrations by Californian illustrator Mike aka Sir Mitchell. His illustrations, filled with large references to Star Wars or the TMNT, including the superb “My God, I’m Delicious!” Are available in print on his website: Sir Mitchell Simple Roy Lichtenstein Style in Illustrator and Photoshop I have been playing with the Halftone filter in Photoshop for the past few weeks and trying different things we can do with it. I also discover the Width Tool in Illustrator CS 5 and it was a great surprise because now we have much more freedom when playing with strokes. So with these two things in mind I decided that I had to create an image using them, and then the idea of a design inspired in Roy Lichtenstein. There are quite a few tutorials showing how to create this type of image, but I decided to try it myself. Roy Lichtenstein (October 27, 1923 – September 29, 1997) was a prominent American pop artist. Step 1 Let's start the tutorial in Illustrator. Step 2 In Illustrator, select the Pencil Tool (N) and start drawing over the photo using it as references. Step 3 Keep drawing with the Pencil Tool (N) and with the Pen Tool (P) when you need more precision, however it doesn't need to be super perfect. Step 4 With the Pencil Tool (N) create the contour of her hair. Step 5 Step 6 Step 9 Step 10
How to Spell College » Master Checklist for Dorm Packing Packing for college and don’t know if you’re forgetting something? This is the single most comprehensive dorm packing list that exists. All the other ones neglect something that another listed, but this is a combination of them all. Thousands of students have used this list over the years, but I still caution: You don’t need everything here. Before you pack something, ask yourself if you really need it. This list is not a “buying list.” My recommendation is to copy the list and paste it into Word. Also note to yourself: which items are easier to purchase upon arrival, which items are easy to improvise (after getting take-out or visiting restaurants for a while, you’ll probably have enough napkins or food storage containers),which items are easy to share with or borrow from roommates and floormates (It’s also a good way to meet the ones you haven’t met yet! Other notes 1. 2. 3. Aaaand on with the list already: Important General Stuff Basic Kitchen Stuff (even if you won’t have a kitchen) Food

10 Things... About Value Greg Manchess Almost every painting starts with a picture in the mind, fully formed with line, depth, shape, value. We see it in a flash, and we strive to capture that vision. The amateur usually goes with this first instinct. First impressions are good, but they are not always correct, and rarely fully formed. The artist works to distill these varied aspects into one, concise, visual slice. It starts and ends with value. Pictured above, the nude contains a sharp line of contrast between light skin and shadowed skin, similar values blend. 1. Either condition will give you instant impressions about the light in your picture. Daytime is not as controlled, but remember it is not always high noon. Even an indoor scene is affected by the light from outside. Controlling illumination with light from outside the window... 2. 3.
